Ski resorts with quick transfers Whether it's by car, train or coach, these resorts have the quickest transfers from airport to slope. Check out the individual pages for their quickest transfer types and times. Filters Km of piste Country Type Transfers Airport Passes Reset Give me a second! There's lots of data Filter by CountryName Pepperoni Mushrooms Onions Connected areas only Multi-Area Pass Train to resort Train + Bus transfer Direct shared transfer Go to airport pages 6 day pass price Value (Price per Km) Metrics Explained Save to list Connected areas only The km total in these areas are all connected by skiable routes. Conversely, other area totals are made up of 2 or more distinct areas that require transport to switch between (e.g. Ski bus). They're grouped under the same ski pass usually due to proximity. Pass price (euros) This is the 6 day ski pass price for an Adult* Price per km 6 day ski pass price divided by the number of skiable km in the pass area This is a value calculation used to compare the value of different size areas. The smaller the number, the better the value of the pass. Sub Area This area is a sub-section of a wider ski area or multi-area group. eg. Meribel is part of the 3 Valleys, but you can purchase a Meribel-only pass. Some sub-areas look like poor value (price per km) because their multi-day pass covers the wider area and therefore you technically get more km/ euro. However we've included them for completeness. *Caveates on pass price + last update date at the bottom of the page Snow sure World Famous Traditional Purpose Built Big town Traditional - A resort has a majority of it's architecture in the local traditional style, often reflecting the original settlement. Purpose Built - A resort was purposefully developed as a centre for skiing, there's little to no evidence of the original settlement if there was one so it's a mix of modern architecture. An area can have both of these tags, it means that it has multiple connecting towns or villages, that each have different styles. More detail will be in the area page. Big town - These are larger than average ski towns, often with a big year round population supported by multiple industries other than mountain pursuits. Snow sure - These resorts offer either Glaciers or majority of their skiing well above 2000m Sort by Give me a second! There's lots of data 1 1 ... 1 ... 1 Price caveat Prices as of April 2023 This is a mix of 22/23 and 23/24 season pricing - depending on when the areas release new pricing. We will revisit this at regular intervals to update. Dynamic Pricing Where dynamic pricing is in place, we've used the middle where a range is supplied. Alternatively we searched for January 2023 prices. The price will increase the closer to the time. Dynamic pricing is especially prevalent in Swiss resorts now High/ Mid / Low season Where split out, we've quoted Mid season pricing. High season includes Chrsitmas, Half terms and Easter and is more expensive. Conversely, Low season is the beginning and end of the season and will be cheaper. Multi-area prices Areas that sit within a bigger Multi area system often charge the multi-area price for multiday tickets over 2 days. So you get access to a wider area than the km quoted, whether you wanted it or not. Need an instructor or a guide?

We arrive west of the Eyjafjörður fjord, in the early afternoon. Skin up before skiing down the 600 m (1300 ft) of elevation gained. The base camp on this tour is a country guesthouse. Skiing: 3 hrs Ascent/Descent: 570 m (1900 ft) Day 2 ÓLAFSFJÖRÐUR - DALVÍK - EYJAFJÖRÐUR A gentle climb up the Gvendarskál valley is rewarded with views of the blue sea of the Eyjafjörður fjord and the North Atlantic Ocean. From here there are various possibilities of descents: We can ski down some excellent slopes that go straight down to the valley before climbing up again and choosing a different descent. In good snow conditions it is possible to ski down a steep open slope facing Eyjafjörður with the ocean directly below your skis! After a good day of skiing we can relax in hot tubs at a swimming pool in Dalvík village. Skiing: 5 - 7 hrs Ascent/Descent: 900 - 1200 m (2900 - 3900 ft) Day 3 EYJAFJÖRÐUR - KALDBAKUR - GRENIVÍK - AKUREYRI The name Kaldbakur means “Cold back” and it's one of Iceland’s longest descents. A magnificent view of nearby mountains, the fjord and into the Icelandic highlands will greet us from up on the peak. Experience local culture and history with a visit to the tuff farm at Laufás and the town of Akureyri, where it is possible to go for a relaxing bath at the Jacuzzis of the town’s swimming pool. Skiing: 6 - 7 hrs Ascent/Descent: 1100 m (3500 ft) Day 4 DALVÍK - EYJAFJÖRÐUR The peaks over the village of Dalvík offer several good ski routes, including one that brings us to the summit of Sauðaneshnjúkar (992 m/3250 ft). The climb is easy, and from there we get a long descent down a great couloir back down to the valley. We can also take a detour to Jökulbakstindur further in the valley for a choice of different and possibly steep descents. On the way back we will visit a nearby microbrewery for a taste of traditionally brewed beer. Skiing: 6 - 8 hrs Ascent/Descent: 1000 - 1500 m (3280 - 4920 ft) Day 5 EYJAFJÖRÐUR - HÉÐINSFJÖRÐUR - SIGLUFJÖRÐUR We move further north - only recently accessible with the opening of a new tunnel, the uninhabited fjord Héðinsfjörður and mountain Vatnsendahnjúkur. Climb Möðruvallaskál for a rather steep descent that offers an impressive view over the fjord and the ocean. Head back to the guesthouse for a nice dip in the hot tub. Skiing: 5 - 6 hrs Ascent/Descent: 850 m (2780 ft) Day 6 SIGLUFJÖRÐUR - REYKJAVÍK Head to the Siglufjörður ski area and use their lifts to cut off some time for our final ascent. Our target is Illviðrishnjúkur (Bad Weather Peak) sitting to the west of the fjord Siglufjörður, with a steep descent that will take us right back to your vehicle. Return to Reykjavík in the late afternoon. Skiing: 3 - 4 hrs Ascent: 250 m (820 ft) Descent: 700 m (2300 ft) Please note The day to day activities are subject to change according to weather and snow condition and will not necessary be in the described order. There are abundant possibilities for skiing in the area. For example we might do some classic routes like Hesturinn (the Horse), Hestaskarðshnjúkar or Fýlaskarðshnjúkar, or we might try our skills at some known steep descents like Rimar or Finninn (the Finn). Getting there Fly into Reykjavík the day before and choose your accomodation option, ready for the early pick up at 8am on the start date. Meet point will be given on booking, your guide will pick you up and drop you back off, so no need to arrange any further travel.
