Conversely, other area totals are made up of 2 or more distinct areas that require transport to switch between (e.g. Ski bus). They're grouped under the same ski pass usually due to proximity. Pass price (euros) This is the 6 day ski pass price for an Adult* Price per km 6 day ski pass price divided by the number of skiable km in the pass area This is a value calculation used to compare the value of different size areas. The smaller the number, the better the value of the pass. Sub Area This area is a sub-section of a wider ski area or multi-area group. eg. Meribel is part of the 3 Valleys, but you can purchase a Meribel-only pass. Some sub-areas look like poor value (price per km) because their multi-day pass covers the wider area and therefore you technically get more km/ euro. However we've included them for completeness. *Caveates on pass price + last update date at the bottom of the page High Altitude World Famous Traditional Purpose Built Big town Traditional - A resort has a majority of it's architecture in the local traditional style, often reflecting the original settlement. An area can have both of these tags, it means that it has multiple connecting towns or villages, that each have different styles. More detail will be in the area page. We will revisit this at regular intervals to update. Dynamic Pricing Where dynamic pricing is in place, we've used the middle where a range is supplied. Alternatively we searched for January 2023 prices. The price will increase the closer to the time. Dynamic pricing is especially prevalent in Swiss resorts now High/ Mid / Low season Where split out, we've quoted Mid season pricing. High season includes Chrsitmas, Half terms and Easter and is more expensive. Conversely, Low season is the beginning and end of the season and will be cheaper. Multi-area prices Areas that sit within a bigger Multi area system often charge the multi-area price for multiday tickets over 2 days. So you get access to a wider area than the km quoted, whether you wanted it or not.

  • Ski holidays in Grand Tourmalet

Grand Tourmalet France Europe Heart Tarbes La Mongie Barèges Km piste Min Height (m) Max Height (m) 100 1250 2500 Sub Area Multi-Area Collection No No Description Grand Tourmalet is a popular ski area located in the Pyrenees Mountains of France. The resort is a combination of two ski areas, La Mongie and Barèges , offering a diverse range of slopes for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. La Mongie: One of the largest ski villages in the French Pyrenees, La Mongie is a purpose-built resort situated at an altitude of 1,800 meters. It offers convenient ski-in/ski-out access, allowing visitors to hit the slopes directly from their accommodations. The village features a variety of lodging options, restaurants, and shops, providing all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. La Mongie has a lively après-ski scene with numerous bars and pubs where skiers can relax, socialize, and enjoy live music or entertainment after a day on the slopes. There's an extensive beginners area directly from the town, and the majority of the area is suitable for beginners being mostly blue and green runs, intermediate and advanced skiers would be bored very quickly here. Barèges: Barèges, on the other hand, is a traditional Pyrenean village located at an altitude of 1,250 meters. It has a rich history dating back to the 18th century and offers a charming atmosphere with its old stone buildings and narrow streets. The village provides a more authentic and relaxed experience compared to La Mongie, with a selection of cozy restaurants serving traditional Pyrenean cuisine. While it doesn't offer ski-in/ski-out access, there is a convenient shuttle bus that connects Barèges to the ski lifts at Barèges Tournaboup. • Ski holidays in Grimentz - Zinal

Grimentz - Zinal Switzerland Europe Heart Sierre Grimentz Zinal Km piste Min Height (m) Max Height (m) 115 1570 2900 Sub Area Multi-Area Collection Yes No Description Grimentz-Zinal is a picturesque ski resort located in the Swiss Alps. Nestled in the Val d'Anniviers , its the largest connected area in the valley. Grimentz and Zinal are two separate villages that form the resort, with narrow cobblestone streets and wooden chalets. The ski area of Grimentz-Zinal leans towards more advanced skiing. Introducing absolute beginners is fine, base yourself with easy access to Jardin des Neiges for first timers on the Bendolla sector. The Grands Plans and Tsarva lifts give access to a handful of blues to progress onto, but outside of that the slopes tend to be challenging. Whilst the on piste is relatively small - There are off-piste free ride areas for more adventurous skiers seeking powder snow and challenging terrain. There's also good touring routes. The usual added extras - Boarder cross, snowpark, speed checks exist. To connect the ski area, there is a lengthy cable car that connects Grimentz to the Zinal area from2013, providing convenient access for visitors staying in either village, or a long black run from the Zinal side. The cable car ride itself offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Skiers also have the option to take a ski bus that connects the two villages and other nearby resorts. When it comes to après-ski, Grimentz and Zinal offer a relaxed and cozy atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a variety of restaurants, cafes, and bars, where they can unwind and socialize after a day on the slopes. The resorts prioritize a more laid-back après-ski scene, focusing on quality food and drinks rather than a lively party atmosphere. Grimentz-Zinal is particularly suitable for those seeking an authentic alpine experience. Despite their small size, they cover off all the standard ski area offerings; Snowshoe routes, nordic ski tracks, paragliding and tabbogan runs.
