Description

Auron is a charming ski resort located in the commune of Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée in the southern French Alps. There's 2 access resorts, Auron 1600, the main resort with purpose built infrastructure around a tradtional settlement, and the Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée village at 1150m.

Auron

Auron is well-connected to the ski area, with multiple lifts and cable cars providing easy access to the slopes. One of the highlights of Auron is its vibrant après-ski scene. The resort offers a range of bars, restaurants, and cafes where visitors can relax and socialize after a day on the slopes. Whether you're looking for a cozy atmosphere to enjoy a hot drink or a lively bar to dance the night away, Auron has options to suit every taste.

Auron is particularly suitable for families and intermediate skiers. The resort offers a dedicated children's area with ski schools and childcare facilities, ensuring that younger visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience. Intermediate skiers will find a wide range of blue and red runs to explore, with opportunities to progress their skills and enjoy the stunning alpine scenery. It's a modest area, but if you are after a relaxed time or a short break, there's enough to cover.

Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée

Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée has a gondola up to a small mid station, but no return ski access.  The lower village of Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée is much more relaxed and family oriented, the tradtional village caters to a slower way of life.
