Description
La Clusaz is a charming ski resort located in the French Alps. Nestled in the Aravis mountain range, it offers breathtaking views and a rich skiing experience for visitors.
With a history dating back to the 19th century, La Clusaz was originally a traditional Alpine village before it evolved into a purpose-built ski resort. Combined with the nearby resort of Le Grand-Bornand it makes up the Aravis Domanie
. La Clusaz caters to a diverse range of skiers. Beginners will find gentle slopes and excellent ski schools to help them progress, While there is a decent learner area available in the village, beginners are advised to take the gondola to the Massif de Beauregard for a fantastic experience on gentle slopes and green runs.
The majority of the ski area is interconnected and offers an excellent terrain for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. For a more peaceful experience, the Manigod sector provides quieter runs, although some slow lifts may be encountered.
For advanced skiers and snowboarders, the Col de Balme is the prime location. It is perfect for exploring fresh powder and discovering untouched tracks. However, be aware that the area transforms into a challenging, undulating playground, which can be just as thrilling. The neighboring Torcère draglift offers long and moderately steep runs, but caution is advised when using this lift if you are not comfortable with steep and fast terrain.
