Description

For those seeking a classic Swiss vacation experience, consider making your home in the charming old village of Flims. However, if you're inclined toward vibrant après-ski activities and prefer the company of a younger crowd, setting up your base in Laax is the way to go.

Laax proudly carries the title of the European freestyle capital, boasting an impressive array of five terrain parks. Whether you're a seasoned freestyler or just looking to try some tricks, Laax has you covered.

Beyond the park's exhilarating offerings, the snow-reliable ski area is perfectly suited for on-piste cruising. Yet, when fresh snow blankets the landscape, an abundance of superb off-piste opportunities awaits, especially on the ungroomed itinerary runs clearly marked on the piste map.

Abundant Intermediate Skiing

With an extensive network of intermediate slopes, Laax offers an ideal terrain for cruisers looking to explore the mountain at their own pace. Thanks to its well-developed lift system, you'll have quick and convenient access to various parts of the resort, made even better by recent additions of new lifts.

Moreover,

For beginners, the most favorable areas can be found either at Foppa, situated above Flims, or on the sun-soaked plateau at Crap Sogn Gion. It's important to note that if you choose to start your skiing adventure here, you'll need to descend by lift to return to Laax. As you gain confidence and skills, there's excellent progression onto long, gentle blue runs.

For a more peaceful experience, we recommend exploring the network of blue runs above Sogn Martin, as the Alp Dado area can become quite crowded at times. Intermediate skiers have the privilege of enjoying a vast expanse of the area, including the reliably snow-covered Vorab Glacier.
