There is a large and comfortable dining and sitting area with a wood-buring stove Your holiday is fully catered, with breakfast every morning (continental on one morning) and six three-course evening meals with wine. Bread and cakes will be ready for you when you return from the slopes, of course! Ava is a two or three minute walk to Folyères piste, which you access a couple of hundred metres above La Tania which takes you down to the village and to the Tania gondola and from there the wider Three Valleys. Chalet Samoens occupies possibly the best location in Samoens, right in the centre of town yet hidden from view down a small avenue. The stunning wet room with sauna and hot tub is a real stand out feature of this luxury catered ski chalet. Chalet Samoens is located in, yes you guessed it, Samoens, part of Le Grand Massif ski area. The ski chalet is situated in the centre of town and has all the delicatessens, boulangeries, and boutique shops right on it’s doorstep. Chalet Samoens is 150m from the free ski bus stop that runs non-stop throughout the day. The ski bus takes you to the Grand Massif Express lift that whisks you up to all 265km of pisted slopes that Le Grand Massif has to offer. Chalet Samoens has 6 ensuite bedrooms plus one additional bathroom. 3 of the bedrooms can sleep more than 2 people meaning the ski chalet can sleep a total of 17 if required. All rooms have a lovely range of Cole and Lewis bathroom products. All rooms can be configured as either Twins or Super King Size Doubles, and each bedroom has a flat screen TV with English FreeView. All beds have super-comfy mattress toppers for that added bit of luxury. The luxury ski chalet has an enormous open plan living area with a balcony with views out over Samoens. The stunning wood burning fireplace separates the living and dining areas, and is the perfect place to nestle next to with a piping hot mug of tea and cake after a long day on the slopes, and guests can connect to the Bose Speaker in the living area. The stand out feature of Chalet Samoens must be the enormous wet room, complete with sauna and hot tub. It is a real treat after a day on the mountain, and provides some perfect down time in case you want to explore the medieval town of Samoens in the early evening. Oh, and did we mention that Chalet Samoens has it’s own private elevator? The prices also include our house wines, beer and soft drinks. This is an unlimited service not just confined to meal times. All drinks are included for the duration of the stay - we do not have honesty bars where guests are required to pay a supplementary cost. Situated in the Hautes-Pyrénées department, the resort offers a unique blend of traditional village atmosphere and modern amenities, making it a popular destination for skiers of all levels. Saint-Lary-Soulan has a rich history that dates back several centuries. It was originally a small mountain village with a strong agricultural heritage. In the 1960s, the resort underwent significant development to accommodate the growing interest in winter sports. Today, it is a purpose-built ski resort that seamlessly combines modern infrastructure with a rustic mountain ambiance. Access to the ski area is convenient, with the resort located at the base of the slopes. Skiers can directly access the lifts from the resort, eliminating the need for ski buses or additional transportation. This proximity allows for maximum time on the slopes and easy access to the various ski runs and amenities, regardless of if you're staying in any of the 4 parts to the resort: Saint Lary Village Pla d'adet 1700 La Cabane 1600 Espiaube 1600. Saint Lary Village is right at the base of the mountain at 830m, the biggest and orginial of the resort centres. There are 2 gondola available from the Centre Thermal district that take you up to Pla d'adet 1700 or La Cabane 1600, the 2 purpose built centres, from which you can then access the ski area by chair. Pla d'adet is a sub-area of the wider ski area that is good for beginners, with a cheaper pass price, there's a beginners zone and plenty of Blue runs to progress to. Saint Lary Espiaube 1600 sits on its own on a plateu above the Village, the smallest of the resort centres, it gives direct access to the other half of the ski area where the majority of the skiing is.
